Emerging Risks: Transiting from Hospitality to COVID-19 Care Centers

The increasing numbers of COVID-19-positive patients have started to place a toll on the medical infrastructure and facilities in almost all the geographies. Many state governments have taken over the community facilities, educational institutions and hotels for using them as isolation centers for asymptotic and mildly symptomatic patients.

These facilities can also be converted to COVID-19 care centers, which brings its own concerns, including the segregation of COVID and non-COVID areas. There are also fire life safety and egress management protocols that need to adhered to.
