Marsh, the world’s leading insurance broker and risk advisor and a business of Marsh McLennan (NYSE:MMC), announced today that Duncan Ellis will rejoin Marsh on September 24, 2024, and will assume leadership of the US and Canada Real Estate & Hospitality (RE&H) Practice effective December 1.
Mr. Ellis spent 27 years at Marsh, the last 10 of which he served as US Property Practice and Alternative Risk Transfer Leader, before joining AIG as Head of Retail Property, North America General Insurance in 2019. He was named AIG’s North American Head of Retail Distribution in 2024. Mr. Ellis will join Marsh’s RE&H Practice and work closely with Paul Foye, current RE&H Practice Leader, on the leadership transition.
As RE&H Practice Leader, Mr. Ellis will be responsible for leading a team of industry specialists in delivering innovative risk solutions and insights to Marsh’s clients throughout the region. Mr. Ellis will be based in New York and report to Darren Cromwell, Managing Director and Marsh & Mercer Industry Practices Leader, US & Canada.
