Paulo Garcia Appointed CEO of Marsh Philippines

RAMON ZANDUETA BECOMES CHAIRMAN, MARSH PHILIPPINES

Manila, January 14, 2021 – Marsh, the world’s leading insurance broker and risk advisor, today announced the appointment of Paulo Garcia as CEO of Marsh Philippines. He succeeds Ramon Zandueta who has been appointed Chairman of Marsh Philippines. Both Mr. Garcia and Mr. Zandueta, who took up their appointments on January 1, 2021, will be based in Manila and report to James Addington-Smith, CEO, Marsh, South Asia.

Mr. Garcia brings over 20 years of leadership experience to the role, having served most recently as Deputy CEO of Marsh Philippines. Previously he led the firm’s Sales, Risk Management, and Specialties functions. Before joining Marsh in 2012, he held senior roles at Trinity Insurance Brokers and Zurich Insurance. In this role, he will be responsible for delivering Marsh’s wide range of services and solutions to clients of all sizes across the country.

Mr. Zandueta succeeds Alan Cheah, who has served as Chairman of Marsh Philippines for the past 13 years. In addition to his oversight and governance responsibilities at Marsh, Mr. Zandueta will work closely with the leaders of the other Marsh & McLennan businesses in the Philippines to deliver their combined capabilities to clients and make meaningful contributions to the communities in which they operate.

Commenting on the appointments, Mr. Addington-Smith said: “I am excited about the value we can bring to our clients in the Philippines with this new leadership team.
