Equine & Livestock

Marsh New Zealand (and previously JLT) has supported the equine market for many years. However, with immediate effect we are no longer issuing policies in the New Zealand equine and livestock insurance market for any new customers or inviting renewals.

Any current policy that you may have with us will be unaffected.

Moving forward

This means that when your current policy expires, you will need to find alternative support to cover your insurance needs. FMG, Pet Cover NZ Limited and New Zealand Bloodstock are alternative providers in this space, however, we are unable to advise you on specific coverage options offered by each.

We will continue to support you throughout the transition and remind you when your insurance policy is due to expire. Marsh will continue to be available for any enquires on all existing policies including policy adjustments and managing any claims that may arise.

For our existing clients, in the event of a life-threatening accident, injury, illness or disease of an insured horse that has been reported during your existing policy period, the Twelve Month Extension Clause will be honoured.

Claims

For any new or ongoing claim enquiries please continue to contact us on NZEquineClaims@marsh.com or by telephone on 0800 383 071.
