Understanding Cyber Insurance — video series

Marsh is pleased to launch Understanding Cyber Insurance — a video series that aims to debunk misconceptions and scepticism surrounding cyber insurance. In each episode, Marsh will be joined by a panel of industry experts to provide evidence-based insights on topics that have commonly faced scrutiny and ambiguity.

Episode 2: Incident response: The benefits of using third-party expertise

A recent study by IBM found that the average cost of a data breach is $4.45 million. Effective incident management can lessen the impact of this.  Identifying third-party expertise needed to navigate an incident in advance, is a key element of good incident response.

In this episode Marsh’s UK Head of Incident Management, Helen Nuttall, is joined by S-RM’s Roddy Priestley, DAC Beachcroft’s Justin Tivey and FTI Consulting’s Kate Brader to discuss the role of third-party expertise when supporting clients to navigate a cyber incident.

Drawing on their experiences in crisis communications, legal services and forensic IT, the panel provides insight on how they work together with client stakeholders to manage a cyberattack effectively and efficiently, support clients during an incident, and tips for putting together your own incident response team.
