As Marsh McLennan’s Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) for the Pacific, Marcus Pearson oversees the Pacific region’s growth strategy across Marsh, Mercer, Guy Carpenter and Oliver Wyman. Marcus is also Head of Marsh Specialty, where he oversees the operations and strategy for Marsh’s Specialty business, which provides specialist risk management and insurance solutions to corporate clients working in niche and complex environments. He also sits on the Marsh McLennan and Marsh Pacific Executive committees.

Marcus’s expertise is highly regarded by his industry peers and colleagues at Marsh. He has more than 30 years’ experience in insurance and risk management, and a strong track record of operating effective businesses and successfully guiding Marsh’s teams to support corporate clients across the Pacific region, including in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. Passionate about driving positive change from the inside out, Marcus also proudly led Marsh’s Diversity and Inclusion Council for a period of time.

Previous to his current role, Marcus was the Managing Director, Business Development of Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) Australia, where he oversaw the marketing, sales and bid management functions, and was a member of JLT’s Executive Trading Board.

For a period of time, Marcus was CEO of Marsh New Zealand, and also held senior client-facing roles within Marsh Australia, including Manager, Strategic Risk and Practice Leader, Competitive Strategy.
