What is your role at March McLennan?

Private Health and Benefits Leader. We help to make sure that our clients, or their surviving families, have money when they need it the most.

Who is your inspiration?

My Granny. She is the matriarch of our family, the one I go to for advice, and has more wisdom than any other person I know. Of well known people, I would say Desmond Tutu – his wisdom, kindness and heart for service are things that we can all aspire to have more of.

What's the best piece of advice someone has ever given you?

Be kind to yourself! Make time for self care because you can’t pour from an empty cup.

What is the most important message you want to send out to young women thinking about their careers?

Put your hand up, get involved, jump in, and show your willingness to learn. And don’t be afraid to ask if you don’t know something!

How do you bring your "whole self to work?"

I try as much as possible to have a good work, home life balance. Exercise is a release for me, and I feel more focused when I’m exercising regularly. Getting enough sleep is also very important.

What excites you about working at Marsh McLennan?

I feel lucky to be a part of a team that I absolutely love working with. I also appreciate my team's sharing of knowledge as we collectively have many years between us. I also love that my ideas and suggestions are always considered. When I think processes can be improved, my manager always supports me. I can make a difference, whether interacting with clients or organising things within our business, and there are opportunities to grow within Marsh, but there’s still a lot of growing I would like to do within my team!
