John Donnelly is the Global Head of Placement for Marsh. John has more than 40 years of experience in placement, risk and insurance. He returned to Marsh in 2013 as Head of Placement for Asia Pacific. He has built a reputation as one of the leading placement brokers in the global market, with a depth of experience in structuring complex placements and designing innovative client-focused solutions to support the risk transfer needs of clients in an evolving risk landscape.

Throughout his career, John has built strategic market relationships, locally and globally.

John transferred to London in January 2024 as Global Head of Placement and is responsible for our retail and wholesale broking activities and will work with our regional placement leaders to drive an aligned global placement strategy to ensure that we continue to meet the evolving needs of our clients. He also leads our carrier integration and digital market engagement initiatives.
