Marsh Specialty conduct regular energy insurance and energy risk management courses throughout the year which are available in beginners, intermediate, and advanced levels.

All courses are delivered in-person. Our courses are usually fully booked months in advance, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Energy Insurance Diploma Course (Beginner Level)

  • July 14–18 2025, London

The foundation level course provides an introduction to the fundamental principles of insurance and an overview of the types of insurance typical to the energy industry, particularly in the oil and gas sector.

This course is accredited by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). Delegates participating in this accredited training programme can claim up to 30 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours towards the CII/ Personal Finance Society member CPD scheme.

Energy Insurance and Risk Management Course (Intermediate Level)

  • May 12–16 2025, London
  • September 8–12 2025, London

The intermediate level course provides delegates with an in-depth understanding of energy insurance within the oil and gas sector and the energy insurance market. The course examines standard coverage as well as standard exclusions that can be expected to be found within energy insurance policies.

This course is accredited by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). Delegates participating in this accredited training programme can claim up to 30 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours towards the CII/ Personal Finance Society member CPD scheme.

Renewable Energy Insurance and Risk Management Course (Intermediate Level)

This intermediate level course is designed to provide insights to risk transfer and risk mitigation measures that can address an array of potential exposures, including construction, environmental, regulatory, technological, and operational risks surrounding a renewable energy business. The course combines theoretical and practical training exercises.

This course is accredited by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). Delegates participating in this accredited training programme can claim up to 10 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours towards the CII/ Personal Finance Society member CPD scheme.

Energy Risk Management Course (Advance Level)

This specialised course is designed for those who need to develop an insight into the principles of risk management in relation to the energy industry. It is designed to broaden delegates' knowledge in all areas of risk identification, risk analysis, and risk management. The course combines theoretical and practical training exercises.
