Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MMC), the world’s leading professional services firm in the areas of risk, strategy and people, today announced the appointment of Toni Ferrier as CEO, Marsh McLennan New Zealand, and President, Marsh New Zealand. Ms. Ferrier will be based in Auckland and report to David Bryant, CEO, Marsh McLennan Pacific, and Josh Roach when he takes up his role as President, Marsh Pacific on 1 January, 2024.
In this role, Ms. Ferrier will be responsible for Marsh McLennan’s businesses in New Zealand, which operate across 11 locations. Ms. Ferrier will lead Marsh McLennan’s efforts to deliver innovative solutions and greater client impact to organisations across New Zealand. She will also work closely with Martin Lewington, CEO, Mercer New Zealand, to develop Marsh McLennan’s superannuation, health and benefits, and investment capabilities across the country.
Ms. Ferrier will join Marsh McLennan from AIG, where she has been CEO of AIG New Zealand since January 2020. With 30 years’ industry experience, Ms. Ferrier has held senior leadership positions at Vero, Lumley, Wesfarmers, and Crombie Lockwood. She is currently a board member of the Insurance Council of New Zealand and previously served as Commissioner of the New Zealand Earthquake Commission for two years.
